John Fallon of the Irish Examiner broke the story that Caoimhin Kelleher’s schoolboy club have withdrawn as they were unable to provide the FAI with a suitable venue after their own pitch was deemed unsuitable.

Former Ireland international Aine O’Gorman has made history after her appointment as the new Bray Wanderers Academy Director, the first woman to hold such a position in the League of Ireland.
“I’m honoured to be appointed Academy Director at my local League of Ireland club, Bray Wanderers,” the Enniskerry woman told Extratime.ie.

The FAI have switched Ireland’s controversial Nations League home game with Israel to Serbia in October with the match now to be played behind closed doors in the town of Bačka Topola, 160km from Belgrade.
The Irish Mirror reports on the announcement of the match venue which comes a week before an EGM of the FAI will vote on a motion confirming that the game will go ahead at the neutral venue.
